某周刊今天報導，經民調有四成市民希望市長胡志強明年不要競選，上午胡志強參加民政志工表揚大會上說，看過所有民調，仍是自己的支持度最高，「這是事實呀」!

胡志強指出，可能最近不斷有傳言要他「到台北做官」、「爭取更好的位置」，這樣的說法產生了一定的影響力。

至於何時宣布要不要參選？胡市長說: 「已說過一百遍了！」自己會提前兩個月會宣布，且鼓勵同黨有意者表態、競爭，支持初選機制支持度最高者代表國民黨參選，他說:「團結第一!」
