市場傳出，蘋果公司本周將在旗下美國門市推出iPhone升級活動，刺激銷量。

科技網站9to5Mac報導，蘋果8日起將開始用電子郵件通知符合iPhone升級資格的用戶，意味著只要手上有iPhone4、4s或5等較舊機款，就有機會收到蘋果鼓勵升級的郵件。目前還不清楚蘋果會提供哪些折扣或誘因。

本次活動將在美國各地的特定蘋果門市進行，尚不確定線上商店是否納入活動範圍，。蘋果預期這次促銷活動將成果豐碩。9to5Mac報導指出，蘋果門市將以重大產品上市的規格，管控來店人潮。該公司7日將向零售管理團隊說明活動內容，且正在籌備其他提高門市iPhone銷量的新行銷策略。

市場認為，蘋果此舉在於為下半年陸續上市的新款手機預作暖身，相關供應鏈近期出貨增溫，將在第3季達到高峰，大立光、可成、鴻海等都將大咬蘋果商機。

法人指出，今年6月的蘋果全球開發者大會（WWDC）是一窺蘋果下半年新產品動態的先行指標，預期蘋果會在WWDC上發表新一代的iOS與OS X作業系統，以及新的健康管理程式Healthbook。
